Ash Wednesday 2010

This Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the season where we prepare ourselves for Christ’s Passion. To recognize the beginning of this season and its penitential nature we will be meeting for prayer on Ash Wednesday, this week, February 17.

This will be a time of prayer, scripture, worship, and repentance. The imposition of ashes will be available if you desire.

There will be two services:

• Morning, 7 a.m., in the Prayer Chapel in the back of the church.
• Evening, 7:30 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall.

The morning service is highly recommended as it shapes the whole day. Those who came to BOTH services last year deeply appreciated how impactful that was. We’ll start the day with a focus on repentance and then end the day discussing how that affected our relationships throughout the day.
