Join us for Big Sunday

The Hollywood Church has chosen our Big Sunday project for this year! We will be helping out at the Hollywood Schoolhouse (1248 N. Highland Ave - Click for a map) doing some planting. The project starts at 8:30 am, so be there, bright and early, wearing your purple Hollywood Adventist Church T-shirt you got for the Arthritis Walk. What? You didn’t get a T-shirt? Pick yours up at church on Sabbath! The project will end at 1:00 pm.

Walking for Arthritis…and Jesus

Nearly 20 members of the Hollywood Church turned out on a beautiful Los Angeles morning last Sunday to join hundreds of others for the 6th annual Arthritis Walk in Los Angeles. We met so many beautiful people and enjoyed supporting this wonderful cause.

Join us in Costa Mesa on Sunday- One Voice to End Slavery

Of the estimated 800,000 to 2 Million new victims trafficked annually around the globe, at least 17,500 are brought as slaves to the U.S. Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco are hotbeds of human slavery and the U.S. is one of the top three countries in the world for receiving (importing) human trafficking victims. 

You know as an Adventist I just love the Sabbath.  And Jesus. In fact when Jesus came out to his hometown synagogue the scroll opened to a Sabbath text

35 Witness for Peace in Iraq

On Friday evening, March 16th, 35 people from all over Southern California gathered at the Hollywood Adventist Church on the 4th anniversary of the US led invasion of Iraq. The event was part prayer, part conversation and learning about peacemaking, and part public witness for peace. Represented in the group were our friends from Loma Linda University, La Sierra University, Adventist Women for Peace and others.
