On Sabbath, November 8, we celebrated two baptisms and a profession of faith. Melissa Hernandez and Christopher Salvador were baptized and Julia Alty joined the church by profession of faith. Christopher’s family has been a pillar of the Hollywood Church for decades. Julia and Melissa have come to Hollywood in the past year and have already become an integral part of our community. MaeKeng and Chris Chinn’s baby, Maeve, was born Thursday at 12:35 pm, weighing almost 6 lbs, 2 oz. She is beautiful and happy. Mae will take several days to recover but everyone is doing well. They are at Kaiser Permanente on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood if you’d like to call or visit. Congratulations, MaeKeng and Chris! We are so happy for you!

We have a few pictures online now from Mae and Chris Chinn’s baby shower! Everyone had a great time, including the guys! Maybe even especially the guys. Special thanks to Kirsten, Elysabeth, Mae-Lae and Kelsy who organized and hosted the baby shower! Now we look forward to celebrating the baby herself!

One of our friends, Rajeev Sigamoney is the co-creator of the webseries, Jesus People. They are now shooting the feature film and need some help from YOU. They are looking for people to fill out scenes they’re shooting and who want to be a part of the feature.

MaeKeng and Chris Chinn are expecting their first baby and we’re celebrating! The church is throwing a baby shower for Baby Chinn THIS SUNDAY, September 7 at 11:30 AM at the Salvador home. Please RSVP to Kirsten Salvador (ksalvador AT yahoo.com).

Here are some important things to know about the shower:

1. This is a COED party! Yes, gentlemen, that means you! Don’t leave Chris hanging.
2. They are bout 95% sure it’s a girl but we’re not taking any chances – avoid pink
3. They are registered at Target and The Right Start
