The world is not the dualistic place we often imagine it to be. In God’s kingdom, there is no sacred/secular divide. All creation is spiritual and God is redeeming all of it!

Ecclesiastes 2:17-26
Solomon reminds us that in this world much of the work that is done is undignified and dehumanizing. Being a Eucharistic community - a community shaped around God’s self-giving in Jesus - reminds us that we partake of communion in protest and in witness of a better world, even as we do our part to rectify the indignities of work around us.

We were created to work – it is a part of our full humanity. We are co-creators with God; participants in God’s work in the world.
