We believe that God calls us not only to reach out and feed the hungry but to address the reasons why people are hungry, hurting, and oppressed. Our Peace and Justice Organizing Team listens to the concerns of our congregation an then look for policies that can be implemented in order to bring lasting positive change to our city. Some of their work up to this point includes advocating for more affordable housing and public art.
We are a member congregation of LA Voice, our local affiliate of the PICO National Network. Through our work with LA Voice we put our faith into action in the community around issues such as housing, homelessness, health care access for children, and youth and gang violence.
