Senior Pastor: Ryan Bell
Pastor Ryan became Senior Pastor of the Hollywood Church in June 2005. He and his family moved to Los Angeles from the suburbs of Pennsylvania where Ryan served the Bucks County Seventh-day Adventist Church. He and his wife, Elysabeth, have two girls: Zoe (eight) and Sophie (five). Ryan has been a pastor since 1994 and has served three congregations before coming to Hollywood. In 2000 he received his Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University and he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Church Administrator and Pastoral Assistant: Marcel Schwantes
Marcel holds a Masters degree in Organizational Psychology, is a certified life/executive coach, consultant and seminar speaker, and is passionate about empowering individuals to discovering and living out their God-given purposes. He is also the online editor of Adventist Today. As Church Administrator, Marcel manages the business and development side of the church, provides life/career coaching for members and the community and helps keep pastor Ryan organized.

Worship Leader & Asst. for Community Development: Lennox Fleary
Lennox Fleary had been a member of the Hollywood Adventist Church for over a year when he joined our staff in January 2008. As a gifted musician and recording artist, Lennox brings his passion for worship and music to the weekly worship life of the congregation. Lennox also has a gift for relationships and works with Ryan in the develop of community life in the neighborhood and the church family.

Artist and Webmaster: Scott Arany
A life-long Southern Californian native, Scott Arany recently joined the staff at the Purple Church. He is responsible for making things look pretty, keeping the website functional, designing bulletins, and agonizing over the legibility of type in worship. Scott is pursuing his MA in Worship, Theology, and the Arts at nearby Fuller Theological Seminary in addition to working as a graphic designer. He’s also been known to sing and cook occasionally.
Associate Pastor for the Thai Community: Somchai Piromgraipakd
Pastor Somchai is the leader of the Thai Ministry in Hollywood. Thai Town is immediately adjoining the Hollywood Church.
