Scott Arany, Worship Pastor and Liturgical Artist

Scott joined the Purple Church in 2007 after several serendipitous conversations and a couple of good meals. He is now responsible for leading and organizing Hollywood Church’s worshiping community and musicians. As a liturgical artist, he makes things look pretty for Jesus, keeps the website functional, designs bulletins, and agonizes over the legibility of type in worship. Scott is pursuing his MA in Worship, Theology, and the Arts at nearby Fuller Theological Seminary in addition to working as a graphic designer. He has spoken on missional worship at conferences and workshops. He’s also been known to drive thousands of miles at the drop of a hat and cook occasionally.
Nathan French, Peace and Justice Community Organizer

You’re as likely to find Nathan in one of Hollywood’s local coffee shops as you are to find him walking down back roads and alleyways leading our Community Walks. Nathan leads our One-Mile Mission. He is engaged to Christina.
Julia Alty, Media Ministry Organizer

Julia is an industry professional with experience in all areas of film pre-production, production, and post-production, and has attended the Hollywood Adventist Church for over a year. Until recently, she worked with a Motion Picture Advertising Agency creating movie trailers and began to lead out in the church’s media ministry before a formal position had been created. She has a passion for combining the amazing talents of the artists who have been drawn to this small corner of the world to create truly extraordinary stories.
Cecilia Luck, Church Administrator

Cecilia Luck became a long distance member in the summer of 2008 and was able to be fully present with the church again in December of that same year. She holds a BA in Religion from Southern Adventist University. Her travels throughout the Middle East is due in part to mission service and studies in Archaeology. She is grateful for the opportunity to use her talents and to be of service for this church, the family within, and the community outside.
